PhD student Giulio Benetti awarded the Applied Physics Letters Materials Excellence in Research

The Excellence in Research Award granted by the Editorial Board of Applied Physics Letters Materials has been awarded to Giulio Benetti for the publication of the paper:

The paper, winning the second prize, has been selected by the editorial board member based on the scientific content.

Giulio Benetti is a PhD student within the frame of the joint supervision between KU Leuven and Università Cattolica, working on the project “Synthesis of Highly Antibacterial Nanoparticles films by supersonic Cluster-beam Engineering” and is co-tutored by Prof. Luca Gavioli of UCSC and Prof. Margriet van Bael of the KU Leuven University.
